Join us for an educational visit to Sieben Live Stock Company, where we’ll learn directly from Cooper Hibbard about progressive grazing management practices. This hands-on workshop will explore the grazing history and evolution of the ranch, current management decisions, and key strategies for building resilient grazing systems.
Topics will include:
- Winter grazing and non-selective grazing
- Calculating paddock sizes
- “Training your eye” for pasture assessment
- Designing and using temporary grazing systems
When: Monday, January 26th from 10 AM to 4 PM
Where: Sieben Live Stock Company – 2469 Adel Road, Cascade MT
Details:
- Cooper’s Workshop Cost: $100 per person (you will need to pay upon arrival)
- Transit Bus Option Cost: $46 per person
(We’ll need to meet a minimum number of riders to make the bus trip worthwhile. If there is enough interest in renting the transit bus, it will leave Malta Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. then go to Great Falls through Lewistown to pick up riders there. Participants will stay overnight in Great Falls at a TBD hotel.)
