Welcome to the updated RSA website. My husband and I ranch in South Phillips County, Montana. My husband’s family came to this part of Montana in 1886. My family came in 1896. Both were sheep ranches at that time. This family history in the area is part of why our ranches are more than just a job or a place to live. Living on the land for generations creates a bond with the land. It is part of our heritage and our livelihood. We have both grown up with stories of our grandparents and other family members.
In January we are wintering our cattle. The cows are currently in their 3rd trimester of pregnancy so they get more vitamins: Vitamins A, D and E. So cow’s get prenatal vitamins too. Here is a picture of our best cow W4. We raise some cattle that are used by some of our neighbors as seed stock on their ranches. Our sale is in Feb so we are working hard on the bull sale catalog and we are videoing the bulls this week. If you would like to learn more about this process you can go to www.vesethcattle.com. We are shipping steer calves in the morning so we will be up early to be ready when the trucks get here.
