As of mid-September 2021, every county in Montana was designated under drought conditions, with 98.7% under severe or higher conditions. More than 20% of the state is considered in an exceptional drought. Ranchers are making hard adjustments in response — but what’s on the other side of a drought?

DTN Livestock Market Analysist ShayLe Stewart will lead us through a series of considerations to help bring us back into economic and ecologic health after the drought. She’ll examine market conditions and livestock classification options for re-stocking and discuss feeding forecasts.
