Healthy soil does a lot more than just grow robust forage—it’s the foundation of resilient human health. This October, join the Ranchers Stewardship Alliance for a unique, full-day workshop with Eco-Nutritionist, Sara Keough.
If you’ve ever wondered how the ground beneath your boots connects to your gut, your brain, and your community, this workshop is for you. We’ll unpack the latest science linking soil microbes to the human microbiome, mental well-being, and nutrient-density of our food.
This isn’t a how-to on soil management—it’s a big-picture conversation for ranchers, land stewards, and food producers who care about the future of both people and the planet.
Rancher on the fence about attending? This workshop isn’t about changing your practices—it’s about expanding your perspective. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of how the land you steward connects to the health of your family, your community, and even your own body.
Not a rancher? We still think this conversation matters. If you care about the quality of your food, your health, or the systems that support both, you’ll find value here.
Presenter Sara Keough was a featured speaker at the 2025 Soil Health Symposium, where she received high praise from attendees across the board. A sought-after keynote speaker at events nationwide, Sara brings great energy and a tremendous passion for the work she does.
Come ready to challenge assumptions, dig deep, and see your land—and your impact—through a whole new lens.
Event Note: The full agenda is still being finalized, but participants can expect a full day of classroom-style discussion held at the Malta Readiness Center—a fantastic facility located at 509 South 10th Avenue. Lunch, a taco bar featuring local beef from 4M Grain and Livestock, will be provided on site. After we wrap up the daytime workshop, the conversation will continue in a more casual setting with an evening gathering at the Stockman Terrace. Wine and light appetizers will be provided.
