DESCRIPTION:Ranchers Stewardship Alliance is continuing its Rural Resilienc
 e Webinar Series\, a comprehensive online event designed to empower and ed
 ucate ranchers and agricultural enthusiasts. This informative series\, acc
 essible to everyone at no cost\, will be conducted through Zoom and takes 
 place from 7:00 to 8:30 PM MT on the fourth Thursday of January\, February
 \, March\, and April.\n\nThe Rural Resilience Webinar Series aims to explo
 re various aspects of agriculture\, bringing forth valuable insights from 
 industry experts. Each month\, we will delve into a new topic\, providing 
 attendees with actionable knowledge and fostering a sense of community wit
 hin the agricultural sector.\n\nJanuary's presentation included a cattle u
 pdate from CattleFax (catch the replay on our Ranchers Stewardship Allianc
 e YouTube page!). February is all about GOATS!\n\nCarmen Salveson is a fif
 th generation rancher\, mom of four\, online nursing instructor for MSU-No
 rthern\, and self-proclaimed crazy goat lady. When she isn’t trying to g
 et the goats back in\, some favorite pastimes include killing plants in he
 r garden\, boating\, and camping. The Little Rockies and Gates of the Moun
 tains are some favorite destinations. Carmen has been married 14 years to 
 her husband Wes. Their 4 kids are Lucy\, Nellie\, Dotty\, and Monte. They 
 live 5 miles from Malta where Alkali creek converges with the Milk River. 
 Carmen has spent most of her life in Malta. After graduating from Malta Hi
 gh School in 2008 she moved to Havre to attend MSU-Northern for nursing. S
 he then worked for several years as a registered nurse at Bullhook Communi
 ty Health Center. Carmen then attended University of Phoenix online and ob
 tained a master’s degree of nursing. Since then\, she has taught online 
 courses for MSU-Northern's bachelor of nursing program. Carmen and Wes mov
 ed back to Malta in 2015 to ranch and raise their kids close to family. Th
 ey have together worked with Carmen's family ranch business\, D&amp\;K Liv
 estock.\n\nWe are excited to learn from Carmen on February 22! Registratio
 n is FREE.
